Recently there was a patient who was brought by her daughter to my clinic. I found that cataracts were giving her poor vision affecting her daily life. Despite initial hesitations due to anxiety by the patient , with unwavering love ,support from her daughter leading to the success of bilateral cataract surgery done under general anaesthesia.
Witnessing the joy on both mother and daughter’s face the day after the surgery was truly touching. It’s a testament to how improved vision can brighten not just one’s sight but also their mood and overall own well-being and their family.
I urge everyone not to settle for poor vision. Heard of many elderly rather live with poor vision : saying I’m already old , how many more years are there?
If you or someone you know is struggling with their sight, please do not hesitate to reach out. Together, we can provide a second chance at sight and a better quality of life no matter how many years more , it is worth it!
Thank you to this family for placing their trust in me and inspiring hope and reminding us of the transformative power of vision.
