This bring backs memories of a wonderful time conducting eye screenings for children in 10 rural schools across West and East Malaysia during my time at University Malaya’s (UM) postgraduate programme. It wasn’t easy and took a lot of time to plan, implement, and publish this research, but we made it possible with teamwork. Huge thanks to the research team from MPOB (Malaysian Palm Oil Board) for their unwavering support. I’m thrilled to share I had recently participated in an amazing event titled “Vision: A Lifelong Investment – Eye Screening Event” hosted by Pott Glasses. Held on the 25th and 26th of May 2024 at Metalbees Event Space, this event aimed to provide free eye screenings to the general public. It was an incredible experience to contribute to the community by screening for treatable causes of eye blindness. We also distributed educational pamphlets about eye diseases and blindness to all our visitors. With around 150 participants joining us, the event was a great success!
